Maharashtra/New Delhi, Aug 6: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) launches its ‘Kya Bolti Public’ National Listening Tour. It also opens a nationwide membership drive. The announcements follow its two-day National Working Committee meeting.
CJP says the National Listening Tour begins on September 1. Its leaders will travel across the country. They will gather public feedback for a proposed Youth Reform Charter.
The organisation says the charter will focus on four areas. These include education reform, education-to-employment integration, institutional accountability and collaboration with civil society groups. CJP says the recommendations will reflect public inputs.
CJP also launches a nationwide membership drive. It invites students, young professionals, workers and other citizens to register. The organisation says registration is open through its official website.
The organisation says it is not accepting public donations. It asks people to ignore unauthorised fundraising appeals. It says official contribution channels will be announced later.
CJP also reiterates its decision to remain a public pressure group. It says it will stay outside electoral politics for now. The organisation says grassroots mobilisation remains its preferred approach.
In its statement, CJP alleges misuse of investigative agencies, horse-trading of elected representatives and engineered party splits. These are political allegations made by the organisation. They have not been independently verified.
CJP says it will engage political parties, student groups and civil society organisations during the campaign. It says the outreach will help prepare a citizen-driven Youth Reform Charter.
