Local residents blocked a main road near Patwa Pokhara, demanding swift justice and harsher punishment for the accused.

According to police and local reports, the child was playing near a water body with other children when a suspect allegedly grabbed her, assaulted her and later murdered her. Her body was later found blood‑soaked, sparking outrage among the community.

As anger boiled over, a large number of people took to the streets and pelted stones at the police, expressing their fury over the heinous crime. In response, authorities resorted to a lathi charge to disperse the crowd and regain control of the situation.

District officials appealed for calm and urged residents not to take the law into their own hands, while promising strict legal action against the perpetrators. The unrest underscores growing public frustration over crimes against children and fears about law and order in the region.
